Marie Fredriksson’s Best On New Album “Finally”
Marie Fredriksson is releasing solo material for the first time in four years – Finally. It is the title of the new album.
The beginning of a new millennium, and in between two Roxette albums. Marie is concentrating on writing solo songs.
At the end of March “Finally” will be released, a greatest hits album with two new songs and 15 from her earlier solo records.
“I felt that it was time to summarize my career, collect my favorites to later go further with my Swedish writing. And now is a good time, in the beginning of the millennium and between Roxette albums.” She says in a press conference.
The two new songs are called “Moonlight” and “Finally” the latter to be released as a single in the middle of Feb.
Marie Fredriksson has writing both lyrics and music herself, and has worked in the studio with husband Micke Bolyos.
Of the earlier songs on the album are noticeably her breakthrough song “Annu Doftar Karlek,” “Spårvöga” and “Trö” from the last album. Marie’s previous album “I En Tid Som Vår” came out in 1996 and sold platinum.
In the mean time, Per Gessle is working on Roxette’s coming album, which will be ready in July and released in autumn. In the beginning of next year, the plan is that Roxette will go out on tour.
Marie is in Thailand in the mean time on holiday.
